HICHEM ROSTOM

“All I knew about zero was the zero points my maths teachers wrote in red pencil on my papers. I thought it was unfair to be considered null in maths when the zero I was given was responsible for it by its null value! Later, my interest in philosophy brought us together and we became good friends.

He made me discover the nothingness that fascinated me so much and the infinity that haunted my imagination. This absurd zero suited me well in the end and helped me to evolve within an acting profession that everyone told me was useless… like the zero. Art serves no other purpose than to excite our senses and to project the banality of our earthly lives towards the infinite.

By diving into the reading of the scenario that my friend Nidhal proposed to me, I found an unexpected opportunity to take my revenge on my maths teachers. I went from discovery to surprise, with exciting twists and turns within a drama that did not lack originality.

During the filming, I felt like an INDIANA JONES IN SEARCH OF THE DARK DOLLAR.

What an adventure! It must be said that Nidhal had already given me a taste of this police archaeology with his film « The Last Mirage ».
Finally, my old passion for Indian civilisation only blossomed during those incredible and unforgettable days of shooting in Delhi.

The hard work of acting sometimes finds its just reward in these moments of intense emotion. This is more valuable to me than all the Oscars in the world.

Motion is Emotion! These two words, which perfectly sum up the art of cinema, find their full meaning here. Thank you Nidhal.
