The philosophers have till now only interpreted the World; the point, however, is to change it.” K.M.

In fact, changing the World should be the ultimate target of any “organic intellectual” and artist, according to Gramsci.

There are some organic intellectuals who are deeply aware of the conditions of their societies, who interpret them against the ruling ideas and produce a radical understanding of the World.

Nidhal Chatta is one of them.

His views and values are deeply rooted in his humanistic and social reality as a genuine organic intellectual who throws himself into an emancipatory action as a film director, an active constructor, organizer, permanent persuader to realize the dream of elaborating and elevating the human consciousness, alleviating the grievances of his people, pushing the suffocating narrowness of thought outwards and making more and more space for human struggles to sustain themselves and win … with an endless devotion and love.

Nidhal is not only the organic intellectual as a seasoned movie professional, director & producer at South-by-South West Films of “Zéro” and “Mustafa Z” (full length features), then “The Last Mirage”, “No Man’s Love”, and as a producer of “Bunkoeur” and an executive producer of  “Whispering Sands” respectively. He is also and mainly a passioned organic artist even in his technics of training his actors.

Nidhal was awarded several times in Tunisia and abroad. I recognize in him the remarkable outstanding ability for directing actors and on- camera talents being an excellent innovative, creative, sensitive and highly skilled movie maker, using even breathing and meditation coaching in his movie academy programs.
